This listing is for a reconditioned a/c type heater box for all square body 1976-80's Chevy/GMC Pick-Up Truck & 1976-80's SUV's with with factory air conditioning. PROFESSIONALLY REBUILT BY THE PART GUY LLC IN TAMPA, FL. NOTE - This unit can be installed & used in all 1976-87 Chevy/GMC Pick-Up & 1976-91 Chevy GMC SUV without modification.
It is the earlier style that uses metal actuators that have 1/8 vacuum ports on them. If used in the later style that has 1/4 ports that started in about 1986, then adapters may be required (check your local auto parts store) to connect to the smaller port. Also, the ports may be pointing in a slightly different direction. This is the part that mounts on the firewall, behind the dashboard.
Aluminum heater core has been installed! Billet blend-air door connector has been installed, virtually eliminating all possibility of failure (a common problem on these units) in the future. The blend-air door actuator & diverter door. Vacuum actuator has been cleaned & tested. Linkage functions correctly and is unbroken. All door seals are in great condition. A new door-seal has been installed on the diverter door. Housing was restored with minimal cosmetic imperfections typical of a unit of this age.One mounting tab was repaired. Ready to install & use.
